Question by iamerror: How do you keep quality intact when pasting Adobe Photoshop images into Adobe In Design?
How do you keep quality intact when pasting Adobe Photoshop images into Adobe In Design? I have an image (resolution 300) that i copy in photoshop and paste in indesign, once in indesign it looks blocky and the quality is just awful. Display performance is set to ‘high quality’, what should i do?
how do i “place” an image rather than “paste” it?
it is also printing in that same blocky quality

Sometimes display quality has to be set for each individual image, check your settings again to make sure.
If that doesn’t work, try to not paste the image. Instead, save the image in a printer friendly format (TIF is always a good choice) and then place it in the document.
Also, make a print of the document to make sure it looks good when printed. As long as it looks good printed, the screen display isn’t that important.
