I am trying to download the regular Photoshop CS4 and NOT the Photoshop CS4 Extended. I have researched and researched and all i can find is the extended version. Please, i just want to basic one.

Illustrator (and the rest of the Adobe suite) do not support these ‘faux’ fonts. This is due to the fact that in postscript output only proper fonts and their installed typefaces are supported and the Adobe suite is geared towards this.

There are two options to make your text italic: either select it in the Type Style box – likely that currently says Roman, click on the drop down arrow and select Italic if it is available.

If the italic style is not available for your font, there is an alternative: in the Transform palette enter a value of between 12° and 15° in the Shear box. This will slant text and make it look as if it’s italic.

I need a LOT of help with Adobe Illustrator CS4 and the Wow book that I have doesn’t really teach me anything. Any recommendations?

I need the book to have info on pretty much anything like copying things, how to gradient mesh, and how to use just about all the tools in adobe illustrator.

is there a flash compiler that is like the adobe one except its free?
adobe flex sdk is only free if u do the 60 day trial, i have many projects in mind that’ll take alot longer than 60 days

The adobe flex SDK includes a compiler called mxmlc and it is free. You could write purely actionscript projects with it and compile it if you want.
